Light Detox Menu

I feel so good on this sunny early Saturday morning! The detox process has been going really well so far. Firstly, it’s very important to be  clear about your intentions. I did my yoga practice last Saturday morning and visualize myself cleansing, not only physically, but also emotionally. Secondly, taking action. I prepared the food for the week. And finally, focus on action and not results.

I really enjoyed making food and sharing it with you.

I am using  the Cuisinart Electric Pressure Cooker and Cuisinart blender.

Breakfast

Green Goddess Smoothie

  • 1 scoop of Hemp Protein Powder Nutiva
  • Ginger
  • 1/3rd cup of Pineapple
  • 1/5 glass of water
  • 3 leaves of Kale

You can be very creative with smoothies. I used butter nut squash, mangoes, oranges and pears.

Lunch
Veggie and Mung Beans Jumble

  • Sweet potatoes (fresh from the market)
  • Rhubarb
  • 1/3 cup of Sprouted Mung Beans
  • Vegan seaweed strips

It takes about 15 minutes to prepare. Wash and cut the potatoes, add spices and 1/2 cup of water – it takes about 6 minutes with the high pressure cooker. In the meantime, boil the water and mung beans, add spices, lower the heat and simmer for 5 minutes on low heat. Arrange mung beans, potatoes on top of the greens, sprinkle olive oil and  decorate with seaweed strips.

Dinner

Simply Quinoa

  • Flax Seeds
  • Sprouts
  • Quinoa
  • Plum

Add Quinoa and water to boil, add spices, lower the heat and simmer for 5 to 7 minutes. You can use any veggies or salads to serve.
